LOCAL KENNEL ACHIEVES NATIONAL HONOR

Judith Miller Conlin, owner of Wintergreen Kennels, was notified recently that her boarding facility, Wintergreen Kennels has been awarded the status of "Accredited" by the American Boarding Kennel Association (ABKA), the international trade association for boarding kennels.

Accredited status is conferred upon those facilities which successfully complete the Voluntary Facilities Accreditation (VFA) Program which requires that participating kennels pass detailed inspections in 16 different areas of animal care and management.  The program, developed by a panel of pet owners, veterinarians, humane organizations, and kennel operators,  is designed to provide kennel operators with standards of excellence in all areas of pet care and to provide pet owners with a method of identifying those kennels which meet the standards.

In announcing the accreditation, Judith states "We are proud that our kennel has achieved accreditation, and are happy to join the ranks of the other fine kennels nationwide who have been so recognized.  It's a tough program, but we feel that our customers' pets are worth it."  

Wintergreen Kennels has been in operation since 1974 and is a charter member of the ABKA.  The kennel offers both boarding and grooming for your pets and is located at 10 Douglas Road, Southampton, MA.
